Sales Associate
Scott McLendon's Ace is looking for helpful, friendly & knowledgeable sales staff for our Port Orchard and Belfair locations.
Some of the duties of our exceptional sales associates include:

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management). Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.

Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management.

Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team.
-
Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Serve Customers in assigned departments, or storewide, and provide needed advice or information, greet customers as soon as you encounter them.
-
Always be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers.

Promote the Ace Rewards program to all customers, describe the Ace Helpful Promise(s) and use the Magic Question.

Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisement so you can tell customers about special sales.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Cashier
We Amaze Every Customer Every Time. That's what it means to be a Scott McLendon's cashier. Cashiers are responsible for providing customers with fast and friendly service at during check out.

Some of the duties of our amazing Cashiers include:

Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
-
Precisely and accurately handle money, checks, and other types of payment received for product sold including processing refunds and/or issuing in store merchandise credit to customers for returned merchandise.

Perform credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, personal check acceptance, vendor check-in transactions in accordance with company standards and policies and practices.
-
Be knowledgeable and actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns.
-
Address customer complaints in a positive manner. Document complaints for follow up by Store Manager when necessary.

Follow company policies and procedures for all transactions.
-
Engages the customer to ensure that they are receiving all the benefits of being an ACE Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.
-
Review and adhere to store safety/emergency procedures – critical telephone numbers and incident reporting forms and protocol.

Lumber Yard Sales Associate
Our Lumber Yard Sales Associate are the backbone of Scott McLendon's Hardware. Our Lumber Associate can help you start or complete any building project your tackling.
Some of the duties our professional Lumber Associates perform:

Provide a positive representation of Scott McLendon's Hardware.

Proactively assist customers in solving problems.

Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.

Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.

Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
-
Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time. Store Operations.

Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
-
Assist with providing a clean and orderly Lumber Yard.
-
Ensure signage is current throughout the Lumber Yard.

Operate forklift with proper training.

Be professional in appearance and actions.
